Dalia El Chourbagui (M.A., SpEd) received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1998 and her Master's degree in Special & Inclusive Education from the Institute of Education, University of London in 2009. She has met the Joint Council of Qualifications requirement to make special examination arrangements for pupils with dyslexia in 2006. She also received her Occupational Therapy implementation certificate in 2007. Currently, she is a co-founder at the Effective Learning Foundation, a centre specialised in helping children with multiple difficulties including Specific Learning Difficulties, Emotional and Behavioural Disorders, Language-based Difficulties, and Attention and/or Sensory Integration difficulties. She coordinates her work with a multi-disciplinary team, as well as parents and schools to ensure better communication between all parties involved. She also works at bringing light to the efforts of every student so that their hard work is appreciated and respected. She has conducted lectures for parents and school teachers to promote better understanding and awareness of the process involved in identifying and teaching children with learning difficulties. Her main work and interest for the past 15 years includes academic assessment, teaching, and devising yearly educational plans for these students. Dana is a Child Therapist, specialized in supporting neurodevelopmental disorders and delays including autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD and ADD, as well as specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and her Masters of Science in Infancy and Early Childhood Development from the University College London (UCL). Dana moved to Cairo in 2020 and worked as a Special Education and Behavioral Therapist at Launch Egypt. In 2021, she joined Progressive Behaviour Services as an Instructor Therapist. Recently, Dana has launched Inner Mind, an in home intervention service for infants, children, and adolescents. Additionally, she is working remotely as an Assistant Psychologist in the London Psychiatry Centre (LPC), located in the UK, with adolescents and older adults. She is a Registered Behavioural Technician (RBT), and is completing her certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy).

Ahmed Nabil Khattab, M.B,,B.ch, M.sc, M.D.  is an assistant professor in the Unit of Phoniatrics, Ear, Nose and Throat Department, Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine, Cairo, Egypt. With over twenty years of experience in the field of Phoniatrics (speech and language pathology) in different work setting as hospitals, schools, private practice, nurseries and nursing facilities with various age groups such as preschool children, school aged children and adults. His clinical experience covers diagnosis and treatment of language disorders, speech disorders, voice disorders, cochlear rehabilitation, swallowing disorders and learning disabilities. As a bilingual phoniatrician (speech and language pathologist) he has a special interest in speech and language disabilities in populations with diverse linguistic backgrounds and learning disabilities with several publications as research articles and therapy programs in such fields among others. Ahmed is an advocate for early intervention and is passionate about working with children and their families in a one-to-one settings and group settings to promote social, emotional and behavioral health and academic success with a solid belief in creating individualized treatment for all of his clients with a family-centered approach by developing strong trusting relationships with his clients and their families. Anne Justus is an American Clinical Psychologist, consultant, and an advocate for mental health awareness.  She has been working in the field for over 20 years.  She has called Cairo, Egypt her home since 2007.  She works between Cairo and New York.  

She consults and conducts webinars for organizations and agencies regarding overcoming trauma in the workplace, avoiding burnout, team building, improving communication, stress, self-care in the workplace, and work-life balance.  She also currently consults and provides trainings for numerous NGOs, businesses, educational entities, and organizations in the Middle East.

Her clinical interests include treatment of depression, anxiety, stress, personality disorders (including cutting and self-injurious behaviors), and expressions of sexuality in the Middle East, and treatment of trauma among other topics.  She also has extensive training in the treatment of neuropsychological disorders, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, psychological problems of multicultural individuals, and the psychological problems of high achieving individuals.

Dr. Hajer G. Ibrahim has been in the pharmacy field since 2013 where she started off as a pharmacy technician. She then received her Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) degree from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL, USA in 2014. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, USA in 2019. Dr. Hajer is board certified in psychiatric pharmacy and is an advanced practice pharmacist. During her time in pharmacy school, she worked as an intern pharmacist. She then completed a postgraduate year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy practice residency at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHS) in Loma Linda, CA, USA in 2020. She then became board certified in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) in 2020. She then went on to complete a postgraduate year 2 (PGY2) psychiatric pharmacy residency at the VALLHS in 2021. During her time at VALLHS, she extensively focused on general psychiatry/mental health, women’s health, and helped revamp the transgender healthcare program where she co-created and held weekly transgender male health education groups until the end of her PGY2 residency. She currently practices as a mental health, psychiatry, and transgender healthcare clinical pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center in San Jose, CA, USA, as a long-term acute care clinical pharmacist at Kindred Hospital Baldwin Park in Baldwin Park, CA, USA, and as an adjunct clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, USA. Her research includes transgender healthcare and mental health outcomes, psychotropic prescribing patterns in geriatric settings, and outcomes of long-acting injectable antipsychotics.

Dr. Hassan Eissa is a Phoniatrician and Speech and Language Pathologist working at Maadi Psychology Centre in Cairo. Dr. Hassan has a Bachelor's in Medicine and Surgery from the Armed Forces College of Medicine and is certified in Talk Tools.

Dr. Ibrahim Hegazy is a Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology Lecturer at the National Research Centre. He is a consultant in paediatrics, with an MD from the Supreme Council Universities and an MRCPCH member of the Royal College of Paediatrics. Dr. Hegazy is also a fellow at the Mid Essex Hospitals as well as the Royal Surrey Hospital in the UK. He obtained his Level 3 Training in Pediatric Epilepsy from the British Paediatric Neurology Association in 2021.

Dr. Elghobashy is a Specialised Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgeon and is a member of the College in Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery in the UK. He also holds a Masters in Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery from Ain Shams University and a Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from Ain Shams.

Dr. Nancy is a Paediatric and Orthodontic specialist. She completed her Master's degree from the Paediatric and Dental Public Health department at Cairo University and is now a PhD researcher at Cairo University and an Assistant Lecturer at New Giza University. Dr. Nancy is an esteemed member of the Egyptian Society of Special Needs. With regards to her clinical work, Dr. Nancy is the owner of Salmawy Dental Clinics, with a branch in Dokki and another in 6th of October City. She is primarily specialised in dental clinic work for children in general, but also offers dentistry services specifically for children with special needs such as Cerebral palsy and autism. Dr. Nancy's main aim is to help prevent any dental problems for children with special need kids by giving their caregivers and family important dental instructions and training on proper oral hygiene.

Dr. Ramy Nasser Gamal is a Paediatrics assistant lecturer at New Giza University. He acquired his Masters degree in Paediatrics from Cairo University, and is a member of the General Medical Council in the UK.

Dr. Samah is a consultant for multiple centres and schools around Cairo, including Reliance Centre, Pioneer Centre, and the Egyptian Autistic Society. She has worked with many families with children with autism spectrum disorder and is a member of the Egyptian Autistic Society.

Dr. Sandy Tahan, DEdPsy. has worked for the past twenty years as an Educational Psychologist in Egypt.  She has completed a bachelor's degree in the field of psychology at the American University in Cairo, a master’s degree as a School Psychologist at the University of British Columbia in Canada, and a doctorate degree in Educational Psychology at the University College London in The United Kingdom. Dr. Tahan has received a great deal of training in the integration of assessment and intervention for school-aged children experiencing learning difficulties. In Canada, she participated in research related to early literacy skills, assisted schools to determine eligibility for special education services, maintained an up-to-date test library of standardized tests, and completed a practicum involving several psycho-educational assessments.  Through her studies in the UK, she researched the relationship between early literacy skills and bilingual children, in addition to, developing assessment measures to assess children learning in both Arabic and English.  Her research highlighted the importance of improving assessment materials in order to identify bilingual children struggling with literacy skills at an early stage.  

Dr. Shereen Hassan is a Paediatric Dental Consultant with more than 15 years of experience in her field. She is a lecturer at the Paediatric Dentistry Department, Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Cairo University. She earned her Master’s Degree and Doctorate Degree in Paediatric Dentistry at Cairo University. She is an exceptional dentist who cares and demonstrates her passion by providing children and those with special needs with the highest standard of dental care while utilising updated knowledge and the most recent technology at Ultra Dental Care and Aesthetics Centre located in 6th of October City. Dr. Yassmin Elnawawy (MRCPsych, MD, MSc) is a Lecturer of Psychiatry in the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University and works in child psychiatry in addition to general psychiatry in Aboul Rish and Kasr Al-Ainy Hospitals. She has just returned from London, UK, where she worked with a team specialized in children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders (namely, autism spectrum disorder; ADHD, and Tourette’s disorder) in West London NHS Trust for 3 years and where she completed her training and qualifications for the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and the Developmental, Dimensional, and Diagnostic Interview (3Di) standard assessments of autism.

Dr. Elnawawy is an Associate Clinical Teacher in the School of Medicine in Imperial College, London, UK. She is also a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK.

The Egyptian Autistic Society is a non-profit organization licensed by the Ministry of Social Affairs. It was set up in early 1999 with the mission of catering to individuals with Autism and their families and to increase awareness and understanding of Autism in Egypt. The Society's main aim is to provide Early Intervention services that address children's learning and development needs. The intervention takes place through the use of approaches designed for individuals with Autism and communication disorders in the form of special provision such as special teaching curricula and communication systems, the development of social skills and behavior modification techniques. Farida has experience working with young people in the UK at the NHS Early Intervention Service for Psychosis, and is a certified practitioner & supervisor of the Comprehensive Assessment for At Risk Mental States (CAARMS). She has co-led the development of an At Risk Mental States pathway at CNWL NHS - a psychosis prevention program for young people with subclinical symptoms.

She also has previous experience working with children with neurodevelopment disorders, profound learning disabilities, and emotional disorders at ELF in Egypt. Farida is ADOS-2 certified, and uses DIR Floortime and ABA principles in her practice.
