Dalia El Chourbagui (M.A., SpEd) received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1998 and her Master's degree in Special & Inclusive Education from the Institute of Education, University of London in 2009. She has met the Joint Council of Qualifications requirement to make special examination arrangements for pupils with dyslexia in 2006. She also received her Occupational Therapy implementation certificate in 2007. Currently, she is a co-founder at the Effective Learning Foundation, a centre specialised in helping children with multiple difficulties including Specific Learning Difficulties, Emotional and Behavioural Disorders, Language-based Difficulties, and Attention and/or Sensory Integration difficulties. She coordinates her work with a multi-disciplinary team, as well as parents and schools to ensure better communication between all parties involved. She also works at bringing light to the efforts of every student so that their hard work is appreciated and respected. She has conducted lectures for parents and school teachers to promote better understanding and awareness of the process involved in identifying and teaching children with learning difficulties. Her main work and interest for the past 15 years includes academic assessment, teaching, and devising yearly educational plans for these students. She continuously monitors the progress of all the students in the department. Her engaging sessions are personalised through motivational techniques to foster their academic skills and facilitate smooth inclusion in their everyday lives.
