MS OTR Senior Occupational Therapist, Founder and Podcast Host at Therapy bl Araby
Samara (Abdelhadi) Khater MS OTR, received her Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2014 and her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from TUFTS University in 2021. Samara completed her practicum at MGH Mass General hospital in hand and upper extremity in Boston, USA. She is now a certified and licensed occupational therapist from associations in Jordan and NY, USA. Samara has 8 years of experience in paediatric occupational therapy, and has worked in Jordan, New York, and Cairo. Samara was the head of the occupational therapy department for 3 and a half years at the Effective Learning Foundation in Cairo. Currently, she is working at Boston University's College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant in Motor Development and Neuroscience. Samara is also the founder and the host of the Arabic-based podcast “Therapy Bl Araby” to discuss children’s developmental through the lens of occupational therapy, speech therapy, play therapy, and cognitive behaviour therapy. With more than 5,000 listeners across all podcast platforms, the podcast also tackles different neurodevelopment disorders such as ADHD, ASD, learning disorders, and motor development issues in Arabic. Samara offers consultation and online sessions to help children with multiple difficulties, including developmental delay issues, sensory integration disorder, ADHD, ASD, CP, DownSyndrome, as well as children with motor planning, coordination, fine motor, cognitive behavioural, and visual perception difficulties.
