Nazli a learning skills development specialist at Maadi Psychology Centre's Learning Intervention Unit and Behman Therapy Centre supporting children aged 4-12 years with a range of developmental disabilities and learning difficulties with the hopes of developing their skills, strategies, and self-esteem in order to cope in an academic environment. She holds a MA in Special & Inclusive Education from University College of London and is a Registered Test User in Educational Testing with the British Psychological Society. Nazli's main areas of support relate to literacy development, language acquisition, and writing. Nazli also holds an Advanced Certificate in Executive Function Skills Development by PESI and is a DIRFloortime Basic Provider certified by the Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning (ICDL). Her sessions are relationship-based, child-led, and are tailored to each child's individual differences. She is also the founder of “A Different Story by Nazli,” an online platform that promotes disability awareness and attempts at shifting society’s perceptions of ‘difference’ from stigma-based language to acceptance. Nazli, alongside Malak El Batran is also co-founder of Kollena, a website that pools together all professionals, centres, schools, and institutions that offer services for people with special needs and disabilities. The aim is to facilitate the search process for parents to alleviate as much stress and anxiety as possible.
